"Trees for the future"

Known affectionately as 'Treezey' by his colleagues, Steve Feazey is the Senior Gardener at Sheffield Park and Garden and a highly qualified and exciting speaker. Steve looks after the weird and wonderful tree collection that dates back to 1485 and is lucky enough to lead on the sites climate adaptation work in conjunction with Kew Gardens, Bristol University, Royal Holloway and Bartletts Tree Experts.

Steve's talk will centre around learnings and through climate modelling, which trees may (or may not!) have a future in the south-east. Sheffield Park and Garden is the only National Trust site that uses climate modelling to understand which trees will potentially be suitable for the Grade I woodland landscape for years to come, with biodiversity sitting at the heart of decision making across its 500 acres.
