Danehill Club Summer Update

Over the past year we’ve hosted all sorts of great events, improvements, and community activities at the Club. From quiz nights and bingo evenings to family events and live entertainment, it’s been fantastic to see so many people coming along and enjoying themselves!

Our collaboration with Danehill CE Primary school for the Easter Trail was great fun for all the local children. We were also excited to host Fletching Bonfire Society for their Drag Quiz fundraiser!

Our popular food trucks continue to bring delicious flavours to the village every Thursday. Keep an eye on our website, Facebook, and email newsletter to see which ones are coming up. Also don’t forget to pop along to the Sussex Peasant mobile farm shop, who are here every Friday, along with our new coffee truck, Easy Life Coffee, between 9:00am and 2:00pm.

If you’ve never visited before, now is a great time to sit out in our courtyard in the sunshine, or try your hand at pool on Free Pool Friday.

Alternatively, why not come to one of our events? Coming up in June we will be open and showing the World Cup games. On the 19th June we welcome back Fletching Bonfire Society for their Murder Mystery night. Then, on the 4th July, get ready to rock with Real Time, an incredible rock covers band.

Chairman’s Statement:

As Chairman of The Danehill Club, I’d just like to say a big thank you to everyone who continues to support the Club and our wider community.

A huge thank you goes to all our volunteers, committee members, staff, and supporters for the hard work they put in behind the scenes. I’d also especially like to thank Murray, who is stepping down as Treasurer, for his many years of dedication and everything he’s done for the Club over the past 30 years. Another special thank you goes to the Dart Team, who continue to do a brilliant job supporting the Club through their enthusiasm, commitment, and all their efforts both within the team and across Club activities.

We’d also like to thank Ashdown Café for their generous donation towards new furniture for the Club over the coming months. Their support means a lot and will help us continue improving the Club for everyone to enjoy.

We know these are still challenging times, and every visit, membership, and purchase really does make a difference in helping support the future of the Club. We’re committed to continuing to improve our facilities, put on enjoyable events, and keep the Club a welcoming place for everyone in the community.

I’d be very happy to speak with anyone interested in getting involved with the Club or supporting us in any way.

We’d also encourage residents of Danehill and Chelwood Gate to make full use of the Club and everything it has to offer. The Club is here for the whole community, and your continued support is so important in helping it thrive for years to come.
